We are very proud of our accomplishment and wanted to share the great news. There were 1700 competing organizations, and 47 made the honor roll.
This national clinical training competition aimed to help healthcare organizations like ours catalyze the spread of skills and improve palliative and end-of-life care delivery for all people living with a serious illness. Over the past year, with our CAPC membership, our PACE interdisciplinary team members across On Lok have taken a significant number of courses through CAPC’s online curriculum* and achieved tremendous gains in improving the care of our participants with serious illness and aimed to enhance the family experience, quality of life, quality of care and knowledge in palliative care.
This recognition also honors the dedication and hard work of the Palliative Care workgroup members, champions, and training leads. Their exceptional contributions have played a vital role in establishing and maintaining a robust system for continuing education and professional development.
Lok's continuing education opportunities allow us to welcome new members to our compassionate and caring teams. It empowers them to enhance their skills in communication, pain management, opioid prescribing, symptom management, and dementia care, among other crucial areas.
We want to acknowledge these staff members for helping On Lok gain national recognition for our free training:
**All staff with an active user account have access to the CAPC library to take these high-quality online courses on palliative care, tools, resources, events, and more. These clinical training courses also offer CME and CEUs for select disciplines. You can sign up for an account by visiting www.capc.org and registering with your On Lok email address.
