Peruvian Independence Day

Congratulations to the entire team on another wonderful cultural event at On Lok 30th Street Senior Center.

Great Job, On Lok 30th St. Senior Center team, on another successful event for Peruvian Independence Day!

This event had 120 registered seniors attend with more than 25 guests, making this event one of the busiest days at On Lok 30th Street Senior Center this summer.

Our volunteer group did an amazing job with the activities and operations department. Together, they tackled decorating the garden and serving food and refreshments.

Our long-standing volunteer, Alex, invited the Peruvian consulate to speak. Julio from our case management department performed a great dance with Olinda, another of our long-standing senior volunteers. Carlos, our in-house DJ and game room volunteer, did a great job keeping the seniors dancing to the tune of Peruvian dance music. Let's keep up the great work we all do to have these special events in our beautiful garden for our seniors to embrace their culture and bring us all together to celebrate!!

A big shoutout to the whole team for creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere that makes the place feel like a second home for all attendees. Excellent work, everybody!
