Friday, January 30 through Tuesday, February 10 is Super Bowl week. Please be aware that upcoming Super Bowl events in San Francisco will significantly impact traffic, street access, and public transportation.

Disruptions expected particularly in SoMa, Union Square, and Moscone Center areas from Feb 3–7. Please plan ahead.

What to Expect:

🚧 Street Closures: Anticipate multiple closures and lane restrictions near Moscone Center, Mission St., Howard St., and 3rd & 4th Streets.

🚌 Transit Delays: Expect heavier congestion and delays on Muni and downtown transit routes, even in areas without formal reroutes.

🚫 Restricted Access: Vehicle access and parking will be limited near event zones, and ride-hail/taxi pickups may be restricted.

📣 Increased Activity: High-profile events will bring larger crowds and an enhanced security presence citywide.

Guidance for Staff:

Plan Your Commute: Please allow extra travel time to and from work during this period.

🚆 Prioritize Transit: Public transportation is strongly encouraged where possible, though delays should still be factored in.

👀 Stay Alert: Remain aware of your surroundings, follow posted signage, and comply with all security controls.

📲 Check Updates: Monitor SFMTA and local alerts for real-time travel information.

Information for 71 Stevenson Staff:
  • Limited Access: Please note that public transportation access and nearby parking will be limited at this location during Super Bowl week

  • Schedule Updates: The Senior Leadership Team is currently reviewing alternatives, including potential schedule adjustments and possible office closures during the week of the event.

Additional Resources & Next Steps:
  • Official Updates: For the most detailed info, please bookmark the Official SFMTA Super Bowl Page

  • Questions: If you have role-specific concerns or questions related to your work location or schedule, please contact your supervisor directly.

Plan ahead and stay safe!
